The Sea Widow

An immersive theatrical performance with the aim of portraying the lives of the women of Gothenburg throughout history. Their men went out to sea, and sometimes never came back; they carried on. Independence, equality, feminism, love, community: Gothenburg.

 

Stigberg Immersive’s first major production in collaboration with Fearsome Thing, pioneering their vision to see historical immersive theatre expand and flourish in Gothenburg, working towards even more ambitious projects for the 400 year anniversary celebrations in 2021.

 

Winner of Best Site-Specific Production at the Gothenburg Fringe Festival 2018.
